Flight / 54-40 Quilt Block

Fabrics from my stash!!!

I decided to make these quilt blocks
from fabric I already had. I ended up making four blocks of each color, green, purple and pink, ending up with 12 blocks.  Just got the blocks done. Yeah!!!!

This block is a combination
of an eight pointed star
and four block squares

I haven't had time to sew the
blocks together.  Once I do, I will
 share my quilt with you!!

I'm excited to see them put together.

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Use It Or Lose It #Linky Party!!

So what have you found in your
stash that you just needed to use!
I received a Kindle Fire cover for
Christmas and decided to make a
cover with my stash.
Not only did I make
 one, but two!

Love them both!

I used
McCall's Pattern #6477

If you've been reading my post,

I got rid of the holiday clutter
in my living room.

Please Don't forget to link up your
Use It projects and/or Lose
It items on February 1, 2015.
Link ups end February 7, 2015.

This is anything you've made with
items you already have (of course
you can purchase items to complete
your projects)!

Looking forward to sharing
and making new friends!

30/30 Sewing Challenge Complete

All of my finished sewing projects planned for the 30/30 Sewing Challenge complete.  I was so glad to take part in this challenge.  It helped me to create a good habit of sewing.  I  have to be honest there were days I just didn't have the energy to sew, but I did.  I'd actually put the timer on and sewed exactly 30 minutes.   It also helped me to use my stash!  Fabrics I've had for along time.  You wouldn't happen to know what I'm talking about...lol!

So often we don't always take time to sew for ourselves.  We get to busy sewing and creating for others.  I do plan on making it more of a habit to sew and build my clothes with the kind of things I love.

30/30 Sewing Challenge Week 4

I want to thank Sarah from Berry Barn Designs for the challenge of sewing selfishly for ourselves for 30 minutes  each day for 30 days!!!!

Also, I appreciate everyones comments and thanks to those who took part in the challenge.  I was really inspired by all the different projects worked on and completed during this challenge!!

Happy Sewing!!
