Merry Christmas Thoughts 2015

A friend shared this on Facebook
and I would like to share it
to all of you because I
know that the holidays can be
hard, stressful, lonely, over-
whelming and sad.
  It is important to remember
that not everyone is looking
forward to Christmas. Some people
 are not surrounded by large
wonderful families. Some of
us have problems during the
holidays and are overcome
with great sadness when we
remember those loved ones who
are not with us. For many
it is their first Christmas
without a particular loved
one and many others lost
loved ones at Christmas. And,
many people have no one to spend
these times with and are besieged by
loneliness. We all need
caring, loving thoughts right
now. Remember those in retail, those
caring for people in hospitals, and
those that just have to work
or are away serving our country.
Be kind and mindful to give a moment of
support to all those who have
family problems, health
struggles, job issues, worries
of any kind and just need to
 know that someone cares. Do
it for all of us, for nobody
is immune.

Merry Christmas!!!

John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have
loved you, so you must love one another.

Valentine Quilt!

Here's my Valentine Quilt!

  I choose three fabrics. The
heart fabric which is the main
top fabric, the dark gray border
fabric, the binding and backing
were made with the same fabric.

Here you see it sandwiched together.

I top stitched between the hearts.

I totally machine quilted the
entire quilt.
No hand stitching the
binding.  In fact, I just
trimmed the backing a
few inches larger then the
top and rolled the edge
around to the front to
finish it off.

Here's the back view!

This is my commandment that you
love one another
as I have loved you.
John 15:12

Maneuvering - Christian Bloggers Challenge

In December 2012, I had an accident at work that prevented me from moving my body like I was use to.  I wasn't able to perform my normal everyday duties at home or at work.  You see my job is very physical and requires lots of bending, lifting, walking, and standing.  I just wasn't able to maneuver my body due to the limitations of my accident and the pain I was feeling.

Maneuvering, is an important word to the Christian. Maneuver(ing) in the dictionary means:   a planned and regulated movement, a series of tactical exercises , an act or instance of changing the direction of, an adroit move, skillful proceeding, to bring, put, drive or make by maneuvers.  To manipulate or manage with skill, and to steer in various directions as required.

In 1 Peter 5:8-9, Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.  Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.  But resist him firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

Peter explains to the #Christian that even though we may be suffering, we need to be awake, alert to our surroundings, with our minds and our heart.  There is an enemy ready to trick, to confuse, to harm and pull us away from our Savior!  The devil is using ever possible maneuvering tactical exercise he knows to bring in doubt and fear.   He is ready to devour us.

We only have two choices. We can move our walk in the direction of what leads to darkness and eternal death or to humble ourselves  and steer the wheel of our walk by maneuvering it to the road that gets us closer to our Lord and #Savior Jesus Christ; the road to eternal life.

What better way then to have a plan, built by our Lord!
Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma, Ephesians 5:1-2.  It's not easy to walk in love, especially when you're out numbered, you've felt like an outcast, you've been kicked around or called a liar.  For Christ experienced all of the above and more for us.  He is our offering and sacrifice and fragrant aroma!  How great is that!

1 Peter 5:10,  And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

So after a long while, I have returned to what I was doing at work.
Let us be strong and look up!  Let us maneuver our minds, our hearts, our walk, our voice and eyes toward Him! Amen!

Loved From Above

Jesus loves us!  The verse above says it all.! Our biggest Valentine, our hero, and our everything!

I pray this day will not be a sad day for some, but a reminder to embrace what was done for us.
We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19  Regardless of our lack of love from others, or even
broken expectations from the ones closest to us, we can express the love of Christ that pours over from our hearts to those that cross our path whether they desire it or not.  But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

We are to love as Christ as loved.  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35   Bless others with your love!!

Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.  Revelation 3:20  Jesus loves you!!

I pray you all have a blessed day.  Remember you are loved from above!!!
